When we contemplated our own brokerage 11 or 12 years ago, we felt this was very a propos given the importance of our homes as a sanctuary from an increasingly busy world.
No substitute for experience:
While our homes may provide some respite from the complexities of day to day living; the buying and selling of principal residences gets more complicated every day. Buyers and sellers are bombarded by advertising, TV shows, social media and advice from countless sources…but who does one believe?
Research and advice from various channels is definitely useful but it can never be a substitute for professional training and experience. While most buyers and sellers will buy or sell their principal residence only a handful of times, we have helped hundreds of buyers and sellers and continue do so on a daily basis.
Smaller but flexible and “hand’s on”:
We felt there was definitely room for growth as a small independent brokerage in an industry dominated by mega sized corporate franchise brokerages. Being independent gives us flexibility that is not possible in the contractual and policy driven environments of corporate franchise organizations. For example: have you ever wondered why you never see a sales person or broker from a large franchise organization advertise their listing fees? (we advertise ours regularly!)
We have also chosen to remain small and we are personally “hand’s on” with every activity associated with every listing or purchase file. When you are a client of Oasis Realty, we work directly with you every step of the way and you never get handed off to an assistant, junior partner or staffer.
Buying and selling can be complex, time consuming and stressful and the consequences of mistakes can be costly and painful for a long time. We see our role as being a consultative partner who helps provide information and counsel enabling buyers and sellers to make better informed and hopefully, better decisions for their own specific circumstances. We will make recommendations and give advice but final decisions are always the client’s. We share our knowledge of the business of real estate in a way that should help facilitate client decision making and simplify the process.
